Live music performance

Team members: Ophelia Deroy, Bahador Bahrami, Antonio Scarafone

Concert venues re-opened their doors after the pandemic, but online streaming of live performances remains a common way for audiences to enjoy music. While philosophers and music psychologists have examined how we experience and evaluate live and recorded performances, there is no scheme to accommodate this new medium. Declaring it new requires already to look at the perceptual, emotional, or other cognitive differences that live streaming presents with both live and recorded performances.

In addition, this project is examining how to augment the interactivity of musical performances in both real and virtual concert halls.
